This spring, my husband and I took a little vacation to Ludington, a town on Lake Michigan in northern Michigan. It was a working vacation (I was a vendor at a crop there), but we stayed in a hotel and enjoyed the drive and it was a nice break.
I created this page of our trip to see the lighthouse …
We only spent a few minutes at the lake because the wind was strong and cold, but I still managed to take dozens of photos.
I wanted to keep it simple and let the photos shine, so I just did a bit of embellishing on the title block.
I started with the new Pumpkin colored grid paper from Mosaic Moments. I combined two pictures across the top to make a panoramic view.
I used some of the new Lighthouse Peel-Offs from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I put them upside down (sticky side up) on my non-stick craft sheet. Then I placed a sheet of white cardstock on top, flipped the whole thing over and then colored it with Copics.
I used Stampin’ Up cardstock (by accident) which worked surprisingly well with the Copic Markers. I would not use it for blending, but I was able to get smooth color on it.
Once colored, I cut the images out and then adhered them to the title block. I used dimensional foam adhesive under the life-preserver to add a bit of depth.
Finally, I added cork letter stickers from American Crafts.
